Social Distancing

Please adhere to social distancing guidelines and respect our other customers and staff at all times.

We operate table service only and sadly cannot offer any drinking or dining at the bar.

We have a reduced number of tables with additional screens where necessary and marked out the floor with green tape around the restaurant and we are encouraging a single file system when moving around.

The host station at the entrance where you will be met is now a permanent feature please report there to be shown to your table . We have various signs painted on our walls and new posters to remind customers and staff to keep to the rules.

The outside planter boxes are positioned upon to enable customers to arrive and leave comfortably whilst still adhering to social distancing measures.

When leaving we would like to encourage customers to use the gaps between the boxes to the left to disperse quickly, as diners may be arriving.

If smoking, we ask if you could keep 2 metres away from the premises.

We politely ask that you arrive promptly for your reservation to reduce any congestion at the entrance and in order that we can ensure we comply with the new 10pm closure curfew we ask that you vacate the premises by 9.45pm at the latest.

Indoor Dining

We must abide by the Rule of Six and are therefore able to offer tables for up to six maximum from one household only.

We are not able to accept any multiple table bookings or requests to be seated next to another reservation.

We are not able to add highchairs or baby carriers to the end of any tables of 6 as they must be counted as part of the party. High chairs are available on request.

Every table is allocated a strict 2 hour time slot ( for tables of 2 this is reduced to 1.5 hours) which must be adhered to as we only have 15 minutes before the next booking to fully sanitise the area ready for our next guests.

Outside Dining

All tables outside are on a first come-first served basis and can not be pre-booked and are also subject to the Rule of Six

We ask that anyone seeking a table outside must go inside to the host stand where we can inform you of availability at the time.

We are not able to add highchairs and baby carriers to the end of any tables they are counted as part of the table size, high chairs are available upon request.

At the busiest times ie ‘Peak Times’, unfortunately tables booked inside will not be able to move outside on request.

Please be advised that if the weather turns inclement, you will not be able to enter the building to shelter.

Unfortunately we have limited umbrella coverage outside and staff may not be able to continue serving your table in the event of poor weather, therefore please bear this in mind.

Takeaway Service

We are pleased to be able to offer our full menu for takeaway during normal kitchen hours, please order by telephone 01704 564564 , payment will be taken at the time of ordering and you will be allocated a time slot for collection.

When arriving to collect your order please do not enter the building but wait at the ‘Takeaway’ sign located to the right hand side of the restaurant and make your presence known to a member of staff and your order will be brought out to you from the kitchen via the side entry to the ‘Takeaway Collection Point’ .

QR code/NHS Track and Trace

As required by law you must provide your contact trace details and we have our own unique QR code which is displayed on the host stand which can be scanned on arrival. To do this you will need the free NHS covid 19 app downloaded on your smartphone.

On successful check in you will receive a reply on the app which we ask that you display to the host. As an alternative you can complete our customer detail form which we will provide for you at your table or you can download from our website beforehand at 

Face Coverings

It is now mandatory to wear a face covering in a restaurant when you are not eating or drinking therefore please arrive wearing your face covering and only remove the same when seated at your table. You must return the face covering if you leave your table for any reason and when exiting the premises.

Please be respectful to our other customers and our staff as your safety is our priority.

Temperature check

One of the symptoms of Coronavirus is a high temperature and so we will take a forehead temperature reading from all diners for mutual reassurance before the host seats you at your table.

At Your Table

Our menus are disposable and you can also access all menus on our website from the comfort of your table on your electronic devices

We will happily accept a pre-order from you on your arrival to help minimise contact.

We will do our upmost to keep a safe distance where possible when taking your order, we will only set your table up after ordering and if you require any condiments they will be given out upon request and sanitised after use.

Please keep all personal belongings including coats and handbags within your allocated table space.

Sanitiser Points

We have set up 3 sanitiser dispensers please use upon entry.

There are additional points located on the archway before the staircase and next to the rear till point at the back of the restaurant, they will be clearly signed.

We understand if you wish to bring your own preferred sanitiser.

Your Young Ones

Please can we ask for your help…
Please tell your parents to leave all your favourite cuddly toys safe at home in their bubble.

It is with our deepest regret that due to table spacing inside and out, we can not accommodate any prams / pushchairs.

Also we will not be able to handle any baby foods or bottles to be warmed in the kitchen.

Cleaning / Sanitation / Toilets

We have implemented additional systems and further staff training to ensure the upmost standards of hygiene are maintained.

Please do not occupy a table if there is a sign in place advising that it has not be fully sanitised.

We have allocated a 15 min interval between table sittings to ensure we have time to fully clean and sanitise the area from the last booking. This includes sanitising all tables surfaces, legs, chairs, banquette seating & walls.

This 15 min is vital, please help us by making sure you leave your table promptly.

Please rest assured that all our team will be washing their hands at every opportunity along with using sanitiser.

Cleaning of the toilets and stair banister will be completed every 1/2 hour and signed off for records.

Please ensure that you use the nearest sanitising point before you go up the stairs to the toilet.

We have wedged open both main toilet doors to reduce ‘touch points’, but may we gently remind all customers to stay alert when entering or leaving the toilet and respect our other customers privacy.

There will be designated sinks and urinals which will be out of order to keep social distancing in place. Soap dispensers will be mounted on walls and we have hand paper towel dispensers.

We encourage single use of the staircase at any one given time to ensure distancing. You can use the mirror at the top of the stairs to check for oncoming traffic.

Payment & Vouchers

We ask that you remain at your table to settle your bill, please do not approach the bar area, this must be kept free at all times for service purposes.

We will be accepting cash and debit / credit cards as normal.

The contactless limit is £45.00 per transaction, we also accept Apple Pay and Amex.

To help maintain staff incentives we have added an optional facility to leave a tip via the card machines.

We will also welcome cash tips.

All vouchers will still be valid and you are more than welcome to purchase one,
please ask a member of our team.
